Education

Art Dubai places education at the heart of the fair: our programmes include artists’ projects for children (such as our 2012 commission with Yto Barrada and Zid Zid Kids); monthly seminars for young people in the UAE; and a range of opportunities to gain experience with us, from three-month internships in the lead-up to the fair, to volunteering during Art Week itself, which could lead to working with the Press and PR departments, gaining experience by shadowing leading gallerists, or working with artists on projects, for example.
 
Our educational programming also includes the (free-entrance) Global Art Forum, the leading platform for debate in the MENASA region, which in 2012 includes over 50 contributors, involved in six days of discussion, plus a range of commissioned projects, research and publications.
 
All these events are open to all, and we very much welcome your involvement: if based in the UAE, please do join our monthly seminars, and during Art Dubai, make note of the talks programmes.
