Dubai Public Art 2025 – Education Programme
is a dedicated programme that provides artists with a platform to explore the realm of public art, building sector knowledge and practitioner capability in the rapidly developing field of public art commissioning. The programme will be delivered in partnership with Dubai Culture under the Dubai Public Art initiative.

Dubai Public Art 2025 – Education Programme is designed for a select group of UAE-based artists looking to further their understanding and gain experience in the field. This is done through a series of seminars and workshops from art-world professionals and mentorship by industry leaders who will provide expert guidance and help develop participants’ artistic capability in relation to public art commissioning. 

The course will be composed of talks, seminars and hands-on workshops starting in February 2025, fulfilling the following course objectives:

• Understand the history and evolution of public art.
• Explore different forms and mediums of public art (murals, sculptures, installations, performance art, etc.)
• Develop critical thinking skills regarding the role of public art in society.
• Learn the process of creating public art proposals and collaborating with communities.
• Gain practical skills in project management, fundraising, and legal considerations for public art projects
