Agial Art Gallery, established in Beirut in 1991, is the leading gallery for the representation of modern and contemporary art from Lebanon and the Arab world. A pioneer in the post-war Lebanese art scene, Agial showcases a broad range of artistic practices, including those of established artists and emerging artists. Since the 1990s, Agial has acted as an incubator for the profound transformations of artistic practices in one of the world’s most dynamic regions. Agial also has a global presence in art fairs, off-site projects, and publications, and has largely played a key role in the promotion of Arab art in the world. Representing artists across different generations, Agial is active in primary and secondary markets, with a roster of artists which have been well placed in institutions and collections, both public and private. The gallery also remains an open space for critical debate, cultural dialogue, and cutting-edge practices.
