Artcube 2R2 is a platform for communication that bridges the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. By connecting past and present, crossing global borders, and embracing diverse content across generations, this space embodies a new era where reality and imagination converge. It introduces domestic artists to the world and international artists to Seoul, creating a cube that facilitates communication from ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Outside In.’ This art cube culturally integrates the boundaries of past, present, and future, allowing visitors to experience both the tension and freedom that exist within and beyond those limits simultaneously.
Basement Level 1: Media Cube
The Media Cube is a space dedicated to media exhibitions, featuring futuristic displays that transcend the constraints of time and space. This cube offers an experience that stimulates imagination and innovation through works that merge cutting-edge technology with art.
First Floor: Art Cube
The ‘Cube’ symbolises both stability and multidimensionality. This space serves as an exhibition area where art can be explored from multiple perspectives, containing infinite possibilities within a simple form. It provides a sense of artistic exploration at the crossroads of classical beauty and contemporary creativity.
Sixth Floor: Lounge Fluxus
‘Fluxus’ was a Neo-Dada movement and collective that included various artists such as Nam June Paik. Formed in the early 1960s, it aimed to dissolve the boundaries between art and life, elevating everyday materials and actions into artistic expression. The name Lounge Fluxus carries forward the spirit of the Fluxus movement, signifying a space for free and experimental artistic communication. It represents the influence of Nam June Paik and the Fluxus ethos, promising to be a venue where creativity and innovation intersect.
Rooftop: Lounge Breeze
‘Breeze’ evokes a cool, refreshing wind, highlighting the open and relaxed atmosphere of the rooftop. This space serves as a free-spirited party venue in harmony with nature, offering a refreshing and vibrant ambiance that invigorates and inspires with its artistic charm.
