Aspan Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, specialising in contemporary Central Asian art. The gallery has a consistent record of delivering curatorially strong exhibitions by the region’s most potent voices. Since its inception, the gallery has become instrumental in developing the Central Asian art scene by staging important historical exhibitions, publishing books and catalogues, commissioning artists and supporting artists’ production in a region where institutional support of contemporary art is minimal.
