Chatterjee & Lal was formed in 2003 by husband and wife team Mortimer Chatterjee and Tara Lal. Based in Colaba’s art district, Chatterjee & Lal focuses on both the work of emerging artists and historical material. Increasingly the interest of the directors is towards the collapsing of the boundaries that have traditionally held apart work of differing practices and of divergent timelines.
