Chemould Prescott Road was founded by Kekoo and Khorshed Gandhy in Bombay in 1963. In 1988 their daughter Shireen Gandhy took over the reins and has run the gallery since. It is one of India’s oldest commercial art spaces and has nurtured and represented many of India’s contemporary artists. In 2013, the gallery completed 50 years, celebrating it with 5 iconic exhibitions curated by Geeta Kapur.
