Founded in 1994 in Tunis, Elmarsa deals in recognized modern and contemporary art by the most influential 20th and 21st century artists from North Africa. The gallery aims at looking to the future, whilst embracing the past art practices and the impact of the Mediterranean, African and Arab heritage on the arts from the region. Their new space in Dubai allows the gallery to engage international collectors, museum directors and curators, thus providing our selection of established and emerging artists, mainly from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt, with a greater reach and a more global audience.
