The gallery was founded in London in 2003. A permanent space was established in 2007 in Paris, located in the historical Hôtel Lagrange built in 1731, extending it later to the first floor. A new exhibition space has opened in Milan in 2022 at 48 Foro Buonaparte.
Emanuela Campoli builds upon the sharp and specific program that the gallery has developed since 2003 and that has resulted in institutional recognition and commercial growth, first in England, then in France and hence in Italy. The gallery has initially become known for introducing a generation of American artists previously unknown in Europe and developing their international careers, and keeps its engagement to outreach new artists and audiences until today.
