Galería RGR has emerged as a driving force as well as a reference through the blend of modern and contemporary global art in Mexico City. The gallery began its operations in 2018, featuring renowned masters of abstraction, Op-Art, and Kinetic Art. In the past year, Galería RGR has expanded its artistic program to include a significant group of contemporary artists who explore issues of colonialism, race, gender, and sexuality by critically revisiting modern art tendencies.
The gallery currently represents four estates, and the works of fourteen artists with different lines of research, processes, and genres, who confront the challenges of the millennium with their creative acumen. Galería RGR encourages dialogues around the legacy of historical avant-gardes of the 20th century and the most innovative multidisciplinary art expressions of our times. The gallery hosted the first Latin American solo shows for Jeppe Hein in 2021, Ding Yi in 2022, and Mathias Bitzer in 2023.
