Located in Le Marais, Paris, Galerie Dix9 was founded by Hélène Lacharmoise in November 2007. The gallery adopts a consistent yet personal approach, embracing a wide range of media and supporting moving image and performance. Its aim is to promote emerging, mid-career, and established artists from diverse backgrounds, showcasing their work in the main gallery space and at international art fairs.

The gallery represents artists connected to art scenes across Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the Americas, Africa, Australia, and China. Galerie Dix9 focuses on contemporary practices that engage with cultural realms, exploring themes rooted in the present and history. These practices investigate transitions and transformations, reflecting on how the past shapes the future. By examining the spaces between illusion and objectivity, reality and fiction, memory and oblivion, the gallery fosters reflection on both intimate and collective experiences. The works presented often address issues of time, identity, and the conditions that shape how we perceive and manifest images.

In addition to its main programme, Galerie Dix9 collaborates with not-for-profit initiatives and curators, further enriching its exhibitions and artist presentations.

Hélène Lacharmoise, the gallery’s founder and owner, studied political science at Sciences Po Paris, contemporary art at the École du Louvre, and cinema at the Sorbonne Nouvelle.
