Gallery SKE was founded in Bangalore in 2003 by Sunitha Kumar Emmart. Representing 13 artists with a diverse range of practices, the gallery strives to present a critically engaged programme, often blending the works of established and emerging contemporary artists. The gallery also collaborates with practitioners in the fields of film, literature and the social sciences in order to create a cross disciplinary cultural discourse around the sphere of visual art. Fundamentally, the gallery is committed to showcasing a virtual cross section of artists, mediums and processes that form the multifaceted entity that is contemporary art in India.
