Hales Gallery opened in 1992 as a contemporary art space in Deptford, South London, from which Paul Hedge and Paul Maslin created an extensive gallery programme of exhibitions that focused on the work of emerging British artists. In 1997, Hales Gallery expanded its programme to include artists from international backgrounds. In 2004, Hales Gallery relocated to its current space in the Tea Building in London’s East End.
