Shezad Dawood, Come, Sweet Death, With Madness Markes and End The Sceneless Revelry, 2012, Acrylic on Vintage Textile, 145 x 170cm, Courtesy of Paradise Row
Gallery now Closed.
Paradise Row was founded in London, in October 2006, to exhibit and support the work of a group of closely aligned, international artists including Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin, Shezad Dawood, Mounir Fatmi, Margarita Gluzberg and Douglas White. Though the form and focus of these artists’ work varies significantly, their practices overlap in a number of key areas: an engagement with general and fundamental themes that culture has historically dealt with, an interest in aesthetics and a willingness to engage with the poetic as well as the critical and the political.
