Parliament Gallery, founded in 2020, is the result of a desire to rethink the function of the art gallery, by formulating new proposals on the process of displaying and receiving works, and by giving visibility to a new generation of French and international artists.
Parliament wishes to build, through a long-term programme, a space for the circulation of ideas and collective reflection on the economic and ideological upheavals inherent in the current technological and digital revolution, which is characterised by the weight of dematerialisation, the place of the digital in our relationship to history, to individuals, to bodies and to the way we position ourselves in the different dimensions that now make up our reality.
The exhibition programme will be interspersed with occasional “interludes” (experimental exhibition formats that escape any commercial framework), archival exhibitions, and retrospectives, aiming to put the transdisciplinary nature of creation into perspective.
